Good Vibes Playlist

There is something dismal about this time of the year. It’s after the holidays, but long before the swell of summer brings us out of our indoor hibernation and into the light of the sun. I’ve been madly searching for songs that help to motivate me and keep me going on various projects I am currently working on, and I have compiled them into a playlist on my soundcloud account, which I will embed in this post.

Music is a powerful tool. Just this past week on Facebook I saw this incredible video posted by a young man with Tourette’s Syndrome. This video is really inspiring and it illustrates how the medicinal properties of music are extremely versatile. Not only can music be motivational when we are feeling depressed or apathetic, it can calm our anxieties, and even cause a nervous tic or other ailment to subside.

I pieced together this particular playlist in the past few weeks as I have been working on a variety of writing projects as well as dealing with normal feelings of doubt and discouragement with regards to some of my work. It helps me to keep focused and maintain my pace of putting one foot in front of the other each day.
